vivid announces 2017 lineup

Air, Goldfrapp, Beth Orton and Laura Marling are among the international acts taking the stage for Vivid LIVE this year, it was announced this morning.

The announcement today sees artists including Nick Murphy, Sampha, Richie Hawtin, Nai Palm, The Necks, Camp Cope, Bill Callahan, Lisa Hannigan, Total Control, Severed Heads and a wealth of DJs and partystarters join Fleet Foxes on the bill. The Seattle five-piece announced an exclusive run of shows two weeks ago, with tickets only available through a ballot.

Several performances will include exclusive elements; Murphy’s show will see him debut new material alongside hits from the Chet Faker era of his career in an in-the-round setting, while The Avalanches will team up with DJ Shadow, Briggs and Sampa The Great to perform their album Since I Left You in full on the broadwalk, and a staging of excerpts from John Adams’ opera Nixon In China will be rearranged by the composer himself especially for the Concert Hall.
