The relationship between major music acts and high profile cat events continues, with Wolfmother, Thundamentals and 28 Days playing Canberra’s Street Machine Summernats 2018 for the first time.

The event celebrates its 31st year between January 4 –7 at Exhibition Park in the suburb of Lyneham.

This year it set a new spectator attendance record with 119,184, with live music from Drapht, Airbourne, Spit Syndicate and Thirsty Merc, and injecting over $21 million into the Australian Capital Territory economy.

Wolfmother, who’ve spent most of the last 18 months playing the globe behind the Victorious album, return to Australia to play the Saturday night.

Their set, from 9pm, comes as the climax of 14 events, which includes the Top 60 finalists show, the FM104.7 Car Audio Soundoff, the Elite Awards presentation, the Rare Spares Street Awards and the Body Ink Competition.

Friday night sees Thundamentals and 28 Days rocking it out from 8.30 pm after the Burnout Championship eliminations

Thundamentals said, “Thundas are pumped about hitting the Summernats.
